You can perform a variety of exercises focusing on support, strength, reactivity and upper/lower body coordination.
The skipping rope can also be used as a plyometric muscle-building tool, with particular emphasis on leg extensors (calves, quadriceps, glutes). When integrated into a program of targeted exercises, it makes an effective contribution to improving vertical relaxation, particularly useful for disciplines such as high jumping.
